Veteran Army Staff Sgt. Douglas Ducote, Sr. is Founder and CEO of Veteran's United For Justice, a non-profit organization that assists Veterans in the benefits process, as well as those suffering from PTSD.
Douglas M. Ducote Sr. served in the Baton Rouge, La. Civil Air Patrol as both a cadet and as a Senior Member, active duty US Army, Army National Guard, and the Air National Guard. During his time in the army he held 3 different MOS Skills, CH-47 Chinook Helicopter Flight Engineer (MOS 67U), UH-1H Huey Helicopter Crew Chief (MOS 67N), and Military Police Officer (MOS 95B). During his service in the USAF Air National Guard he was a MH-60G Pave Hawk Helicopter Crew Chief (ASF2A5X2-006). His combat deployments include Operations Golden Pheasant, JTFB (Joint Task Force Bravo), Just Cause, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom. Douglas was medically retired in 2004 after 18 years of service. Douglas is 100% rated by the Veterans Administration, and very well vested/educated in their correct and non-correct ways of the VA conducting business! Today his mission in life his helping veterans any way possible, and educating our youth about Military service, Duty, Honor, and Country, and what it means to be a veteran. In Law Enforcement Douglas served 6 years with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office in California, 3 of those years as an FTO, and 3 years with the California ANG 970th MP. In 2006 Douglas was inducted into the Veterans Hall of Honor in Baton Rouge, La. his place of birth.
He is currently the co-host of Real World Witness on Blogtalk Radio and has his own YouTube Channel where he discusses various issues in politics and Veteran Affairs.
